1. Partner Agreement
By submitting a contractor application and accepting a job lead from thetradefindr, you (the contractor / trade partner) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. You are an independent contractor, not an employee of thetradefindr. You remain responsible for your own tools, transport, compliance with industry regulations, and applicable taxes.
2. Vetting & Onboarding
All applicants are subject to our vetting process including verification of trade experience, identity, and references. Acceptance is at our sole discretion. Providing false information during application results in immediate removal. Notify us promptly if your details change.
3. Job Leads & Conduct
3.1 Accepting Leads. When you accept a job lead, you commit to arriving at the agreed time, completing the agreed scope, and representing thetradefindr professionally.
3.2 Professional Standards.Clear communication, punctuality, clean workmanship, and treating the client's property with care.
3.3 Direct Solicitation. You may not solicit direct business from thetradefindr customers outside the platform during the partnership and for 6 months after termination. Breach results in immediate removal.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 How Payment Works. thetradefindr collects payment from the customer. You receive your agreed portion via EFT within 24–48 hours of confirmed job completion.
4.2 Completion Confirmation. Payment is processed once you confirm completion via WhatsApp and the customer confirms satisfactory completion. Disputes may delay payment until resolved.
4.3 No Cash Collection. You are not permitted to collect cash directly from customers. Any contractor found collecting payment outside this structure will be removed.
5. Performance Deductions
thetradefindr reserves the right to apply a performance deduction in these circumstances:
- Callback required due to substandard workmanship — rectification cost may be deducted
- Customer complaint upheld after investigation — deduction at our discretion
- Late completion without prior notice causing material impact on the customer
You will be notified of any deduction before it is applied and given the opportunity to respond.
6. No Call, No Show
Failing to arrive for a confirmed job without prior notification is a serious breach. Consequences:
- First offence: Formal written warning and temporary suspension from new leads for up to 7 days.
- Second offence: Extended suspension of up to 30 days and review of continued partnership.
- Third offence / pattern: Permanent removal from the network.
A no-show triggers a full deposit refund to the customer, the cost of which may be recovered from outstanding earnings where applicable. If you cannot attend, notify thetradefindr via WhatsApp before the scheduled start time.
7. Non-Compliance & Gross Neglect
7.1 Non-Compliance includes: refusing to complete agreed work without reasonable cause, repeated late arrivals, failure to follow safety practices, or persistent communication failures.
7.2 Gross Neglect includes: knowingly performing substandard work, causing damage through carelessness, misrepresenting qualifications, or any dishonesty or misconduct.
Both may result in immediate removal. In cases involving property damage, misrepresentation, or dishonesty, thetradefindr reserves the right to pursue legal remedies.
8. No Exclusivity
thetradefindr does not require exclusivity. You are free to work with your own clients and other platforms. We simply ask that every commitment made through our network is honoured with full professionalism.
9. Termination
Either party may end this partnership with 7 days' written notice via WhatsApp or email. thetradefindr may terminate immediately without notice for gross misconduct, fraud, or repeated violations. Outstanding jobs already in progress must be completed unless otherwise agreed.
10. Limitation of Liability
thetradefindr's liability shall not exceed the value of the specific job payout in dispute. Not liable for loss of earnings from scheduling changes or customer cancellations.
11. Dispute Resolution
Raise disputes via WhatsApp or info@thetradefindr.com. Unresolved disputes subject to South African law and the jurisdiction of the courts of Cape Town, Western Cape.
12. Governing Law
Governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Jurisdiction: courts of Cape Town, Western Cape.
